Lead quality and technical services projects for all Yarn facilities to maximize production and efficiency in all facilities.
Evaluate quality data trends as generated on the Gildan Quality Dashboard, Card nep reports, and afis reports.
Communicate to Director of Quality and Technical Service, any deficiencies or negative trends.
Assist in resolving Plant quality or production issues as directed by the Director of Quality and Technical Service.
Must be willing to travel when needed to any plant requiring technical assistance.
Continually evaluate our production practices for opportunities to improve quality and production efficiencies and communicate to the Director of Quality and Technical Service.
Assist all yarn plants to ensure their online monitoring systems (i.e. VLABO, SpiderWEB, Uster Quantum, Eureka, etc.) are being utilized. Help set up reports for each system. Monitor these systems and report deficiencies and downward trends to the Director of Quality and Technical Service.
Provide quality and technical assistance with new yarn products.
Work with equipment manufacturer’s technicians as they work in the plants to help coordinate what is the issue they are to address and what the vendor’s conclusion and recommendation are. Ensure that any change in our manufacturing procedures or machine setup will not have a negative impact in the Textiles division.
Work with Corporate Lab Manager and Director of Technical Services on creating yarn specifications on new products.
Develop Machine Specifications for new products at each facility
Perform process audits as requested by Director of Technical Service.
Develop SOP’s for manufacturing processes.
Perform other duties as requested.
Complete the following at each Gildan facility as described below:
Perform biannual machine audits for each facility - (14 weeks / year)
Perform biannual machine optimization trials at each facility - (14 weeks /year)
Hold annual training classes at each facility on utilizing monitoring systems - (7 weeks / year)

Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
