The Opportunity

As part of the corporate human resources group, the Business Analyst HRIS brings experience and expertise in PeopleSoft HCM and its related modules’ global administration. The successful incumbent is involved in the implementation of the system to new facilities, the assessment and development of new system functionalities based on business requirements, will carry cyclical processes and provide end-users support. On all initiatives, the incumbent performs initial functional analysis and liaises with IT for further analysis or development, as required. Furthermore, the incumbent ensures that users have accurate documentation and are adequately trained to perform their activities on PeopleSoft.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Contribute to PeopleSoft HCM and its related modules (Recruiting Solutions, ePerformance, eCompensation) administration or upgrade for all Gildan locations and provide guidance to business leads and subject matter experts throughout the projects
  • Provide 2nd level support to users by answering questions, assisting them and, whenever required, liaise with IT for 3rd level support
  • Maintain PeopleSoft configuration to align to business evolution
  • Maintain PeopleSoft user accounts to provide accurate functional and data access
  • Provide training to users to ensure proper system usage
  • Create and maintain business processes and application procedures
  • Define and understand requirements in a multi-country environment
  • Analyse users' reporting requirements and develop queries
  • Improve data integrity for reporting accuracy

Profile & Core Competencies

  • 8-10 years of experience combined with a minimum of 3-5 years on PeopleSoft HCM as an analyst or a super user
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, management or IT
  • Experience in an international organization
  • Must be able to speak and write in English fluently in a global support context
  • Strong analytical abilities, organized, autonomous
  • Solution oriented, capacity to search for answers, proactive in users issues resolution
  • Ability to translate technical or systems concepts in HR/users’ language
  • At ease in an entrepreneurial environment (fast pace, flexible)
  • Good oral and written communication (French, English)
