The Opportunity

The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for leading efforts to reengineer and optimize business processes and systems, by assessing business needs, developing, proposing and implementing technology solution options. He/She will be expected to work closely with other IT and development teams, as well as architects, business systems analysts and technical and functional leads in order to achieve their goals.

Key Areas of Responsibility

 

  • Empower users and super-users (by training and performing knowledge transfer) to leverage IT systems for business process automation and optimization.
  • Ensure the solution (people, process and technology) meets the programme and/or project’s objectives and is aligned with business and IT strategic direction.
  • Work with project leads to develop required work plans. Identify task dependencies, develop estimates and determine resource skill requirements; support risk management and change management activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements effectively, based on business value, risks and constraints.
  • Ensure the test strategy and test plans adequately cover the requirements. Assist with resolution and creation of business plans.
  • Simultaneously support multiple initiatives as assigned.

Profile & Core Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or an equivalent qualification.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in developing and supporting business technology systems.
  • Working knowledge and/or experience in JD Edwards Enterprise One with emphasis on the Financials, Sales and Procurement modules.
  • Extensive experience supporting evolving business needs.
  • Project management experience would be an asset.
