The Opportunity

 This position will be responsible for insuring all yarn export containers are documented properly with U.S. Customs as well as with the ocean carriers. This position will be the liaison between yarn spinning facilities, inland carrier, ocean carriers and the yarn procurement team in Honduras to insure all containers ship on time with accurate and complete documentation.  This position will also serve to provide redundancy to other functions in the yarn production planning and logistics team.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Submit AES filings for all yarn export containers to U.S.Customs
• Prepare and submit ocean bill of ladings for all yarn export containers to the ocean carriers
• Monitor Master Yarn Pickup Schedule and follow-up with spinning plants to insure all yarn shipments remain on schedule or adjust accordingly
• Serve as liaison between inland trucking and ocean carriers and plant shipping associates to insure all containers move without delay from spinning plants to port of departure
• Submit import documents to U.S. Customs for all returned pallet containers
• Follow-up with textile facilities to insure all documents have been received for pallet containers prior to arrival at U.S. port
• Coordinate pickup and delivery of all pallet containers from port to correct spinning facility
• Provide document support to Gildan Customs team for all TIB shipments
• Maintain pallet inventory tracking
• Maintain purchased yarn pricing in local MRP system
• Maintain fixation pricing in local MRP system
• Maintain record keeping for pricing in support of audit requirements
• Coordinate yarn sku setup in local MRP system
• Maintain yarn sku setup in Yarn Vendor Portal and work with vendors to insure updates are complete and accurate
• Set up and maintain waste skus and associated costing in local MRP system
• Assist in new vendor setups as required for local MRP system
• Setup and maintain weekly production tracking
• Create projection/consumption reporting weekly
• Validation and tracking for rebate programs
• Provide backup as required for other Gildan Yarns planning and logistics functions functions

• University Degree Preferred
• 1-2 years work experience preferred
• Strong communication skills who can learn quickly
