Department Manager Spinning

The Opportunity

The Spinning Department Manager reports to the Plant Manager and has overall responsibility to manage the Spinning Department.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Lead Spinning Room operations including production, training, development, and technical operations in the Spinning Room
• Manage all spinning maintenance employees
• Responsible for production quality at spinning/winding processes
• Develop preventative maintenance procedures for spinning and winding equipment
• Managing execution of preventative maintenance procedures to schedule machine overhauling and maintenance
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are adhered to
• Maintain supply and repair budgets
• Develop and manage training procedures for employees in the Spinning Department
• Provide direction and training to Supervisors to ensure efficient production in Spinning
• Responsible for daily/weekly production reports
• Responsible for Monthly WIP inventory and reporting.

Profile & Core Competencies

• 6-10 years of previous experience in a Yarn Spinning Facility.
• Minimum of 5 years in a Management role
• Candidate must possess a strong understanding of yarn spinning processes.
• Position requires strong attention to accuracy and detail with strong organizational skills.
• Candidate must be a self-starter and exhibit exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated Leadership skills
• Ability to work with all levels of employees
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
