The Opportunity

Responsible for partnering with the HR Manager in Human Resources to recruit and onboard new employees, administer benefits and maintain data in HRIS systems.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Acts as primary touch-point for PeopleSoft Human Resources Information system and ADP Timekeeping system. Is responsible for entering information, maintaining accurate data, assisting with setup, troubleshooting, running reports, etc.
  • Supports organization's staffing needs:
    • Coordinates internal and external position staffing and posting needs
    • Verifies internal candidate eligibility (time in current position, corrective action files, etc.)
    • Coordinates and schedules onsite interviews
    • Interviews applicants and extends job offers to qualified applicants
    • Prepares documents necessary for orientation for new hires
    • Assists in preparing and providing responses to internal and external candidates as applicable
    • Processes all new hire paperwork and verifies eligibility to work via E-verify system
    • Leads employee orientation for new hires
    • Maintains applicant/interview log
  • Administers Benefits
    • Assists and responds to benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
    • Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
    • Assists with the open enrollment process
  • Assists with coordinating facility-wide events
  • Responsible for maintaining employee files and filing
  • Maintain safety training records
  • Perform required Pulmonary Function testing
  • Create badges for new hires, replacement or disabled badges
  • Responds to requests for Verifications of employment
  • Prepares ad hoc reports as needed

Profile & Core Competencies

  • 1-3 years relevant work experience
  • University degree preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience utilizing and maintaining a full functional integrated HRIS system
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and ADP time and attendance preferred
  • Able to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Able to handle and maintain data that is confidential in nature
  • Hearing is required to hear instructions and receive information
  • Vision is required to read instructions, interpret data, etc.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
