The Opportunity

The Product Coordinator will be an important part of the sales, marketing and merchandising team.  They will be responsible for communicating with our overseas suppliers and following up on our products according to the customer’s particular needs and/or brand requirements. This position works out of the office located in the East end of Montreal.

Key Areas of Responsibility


  • Accurately maintain the product database and merchandise lists;
  • Proceed with the opening of all new styles and prepack in our JDE system;
  • Prepare the specification sheet for all assigned products;
  • Communicate with supplier all samples approval and corrections required;
  • Send new purchase orders along with spec sheets and packaging artwork to factory;
  • Act as a point of contact for factories regarding product order inquiries;
  • Proceed to the approval of all the elements of an order, in collaboration with all other departments involved and remaining on schedule;
  • Assist in the preparation of the new product line presentation every season;
  • Follow and forward all quality control test results required by some of our customers;
  • Ensure that each order respects our quality standards;
  • Follow up on all new product samples requests from beginning of the process until the final approval, in collaboration with our Sourcing department;
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Profile & Core Competencies


  • Experience in the retail sector is a requirement;
  • Experience as lmport Coordinator is considered an asset;
  • Experience in apparel & accessories product development (an asset);
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as product coordinator or a similar role;
  • Must be interested in the technical aspect of the product;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people;
  • Ability to multitask and to work under pressure;
  • Ability to change priorities quickly and to make decisions;
  • Strong organizational skills, with superior attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, most notably Excel;
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an asset;
  • Bilingual: English and French (written and verbal);
  • Respect timelines;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Dynamic and energetic personality;
  • Has both the knowledge and the interest to continuously grow within the organization by participating in new projects and developing new skillsets.
