Quality Control Inspector -1st Shift

The Opportunity

Monitors quality checks/verifications of incoming/outgoing product on a routine basis

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Monitors quality of incoming/outgoing product per detailed procedures
• Coordinates work priorities with DC operations
• Documents any quality findings per the detailed procedures
• Keeps product flow through the DC on time
• Works safety at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs
• All associates are responsible for having an awareness and understanding of Gildan’s Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. 

Profile & Core Competencies

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years related experience
• Prior warehouse experience preferred
• Basic Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred (RedPrairie, etc.)
• Prior experience operating Radio Frequency (RF) equipment, i.e. scanners, etc. preferred
• Must be able to stand, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day
• Good verbal and written communication required
• Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, safety warnings, and equipment operations
• Vision is required in order to operate a RF keyboard and/or scanner, and to complete required data entry
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English language effectively
• Must be able to work in a team based environment
