The Opportunity

Responsible for the replenishment,  demand forecasting, and andvanced analytical functions for assigned categories as part of the Sales Team.  Responsible for creating best practices and mentoring analysts
 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for their business as it pertains to Sales trends, Inventory Analysis and Board Forecasts for their respective businesses
  • Develops key sales insights based on data collected from retailer systems
  • Takes part in strategy meetings and has an informed opinion on business decisions
  • Prepares and distributes sales and inventory performance reports, internally and externally, for company reporting purposes; reports are prepared daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Monitors key performance metrics for assigned categories; collaborates and recommends action to maintain requirements, i.e.: order fill rates, store in stock percentages, distribution center outs, on-time delivery, sales to inventory ration, weeks of coverage, forecast error rates, etc.
  • Serves as a mentor to Analysts.  Holds monthly Best Practices meetings
  • Builds and updates customer ladder plans and builds and updates internal POS Bridge Files weekly to ensure YTD and future forecasts are aligned to retailer ladder plans.
  • Collaborates with customer replenishment team to manage replenishment settings in order to align orders to forecast.
  • Ensures that POS projections, rollouts, and additional inventory strategies are clearly communicated to Forecasting in order to create an effective shipping forecast.
  • Communicates with Production Planning to ensure product is arriving in time to satisfy forecast.  Take part in Weekly Production Meetings
  • Collaborates with Account Rep and Director to make weekly, monthly and quarterly flash calls for Monday Staff meeting
  • Prepares presentation data and status reports for quarterly 30/60/90 day meetings conducted with account replenishment team.
  • Assists with preparation for buyer and sales planning meetings.
  • Travels as required to meet business needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Profile & Core Competencies

  • University Degree
  • 5 - 9 years experience required
  • Customer Replenishment Systems and Process knowledge required
  • Experience with Walmart and/or Retail Link DSS required (if applicable)
  • Experience with a full-functional computerized Order Management System such as JDE or SAP preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Etc.)
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form. 
  • Must be able to collaborate both internally and externally in an effort to drive results and work to resolve issues
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Experience within a manufacturing company supplying product to Retail Customers preferred
  • Vision is required in order to read instructions, interpret data and formulate metrics
  • Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, receive information, and understand safety warnings
